Gluten Free Resturants

Hi everyone,

Do you know of a resturant that has a gluten free menu that is not located on my blog post of all the resturants in the Indianapolis area? If you do, please let me know and I will add it!!

I have a lot of yummy gluten free recipes I want to post here shortly. In them meantime please enjoy this one:

Bean-Less Chili
7-10 clery stalks, diced
1 white onion, diced
6 cloves of garlic, minced
4 tablespoons EVOO
2 pounds grass-fed ground beef
1 pound spicy Italian pork-sausage, casing removed
1 teaspooon sea salt
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons of dried basil
1 tablespoon cumin
3-4 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
16 ounces chicken broth

1. In a large soup pot, saute the veggies in the EVOO. Add the beef and sausage, and brown.
2. Season the meat mixture with all the spices.
3. Add the tomatoes and chicken broth and simmer for 35 minutes.
4. Taste and add more seasoning if desired.

Enjoy!!

Magazines and Newsletters

Hi folks,

Sorry I have been MIA for a while. My 12 week triathlon training has taken up a lot of my time and energy.
Want to remind everyone that there are tons of gluten free/celiac disease magazines and newsletters out there. http://www.celiac.com/ has a link on their home page for most mags and newsletters.

I currently subscribe to Living Without magazine. This mag has a lot of information on celiac disease and celiac research as well as easy recipes and QA from doctors.

Hope everyone is enjoying the Midwest heat!

Gluten Free Rice Krispies

What is everyone's take on the new gluten free rice krispies? It is so nice to go to store to find more then one or two kinds of gluten free cereals but this new version doesn't do much for me!

What are your thoughts? Might be better when  making rice krispie treats. ;)
